Hi, I am Christa Smith—quilter, designer, teacher, and maker behind Cotton Berry Quilts. I live in beautiful North Carolina with my husband, Steve. We are originally from sunny Southern California and now enjoy a quieter life filled with family, friends, and creativity. I am a proud mom to three and “Oma” to four sweet grandkids.

My heart is in hand appliqué but I love all forms of quilting. I design heirloom-quality appliqué quilts and offer thoughtfully curated patterns and kits to support quilters at every skill level. I also love teaching others how to stitch beautiful quilts and find so much joy in the fellowship that grows when we gather around our shared love of needle and thread.
